This coastal site on the windswept coast of the Yellow Sea is a major golfing destination for the Koreans, so besides designing for the extreme wind conditions, planning was done for a large number of rounds on the golf course.
This modified links design includes tees, greens and fairways designed with additional width to take into account the number of rounds and the severe winds.
The course has 5 or 6 tee decks and can be set up to play relatively short, or on a calm day, it can be strecthed out to close to 7,500 yds.
As holes 16, 17 and 18 are set against the back drop of the Yellow Sea, a thrilling and beautifully scenic finish is assured for every round. |
