Colin Montgomerie was waxing philosophical about the Seve Trophy, Ryder Cup, World Cup and FedEx Cup and his second wedding arrangements on the eve of the Mercedes-Benz Championship at nearby Gut Larchenhof yesterday.
A relaxed Montgomerie, his place in the Britain and Ireland team to take on Europe at Ireland's Heritage Club on Sept 27-30 confirmed by Luke Donald's decision to join Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter in opting out, is looking forward to "a week off". Click to read full article.

As most of our readers are now aware the Montgomerie Course, the third championship course at Celtic Manor, is now open and ready for play. A combination of new holes and some taken from the previous Wentwood Hills course - plus redesigned parts of the Coldra Woods course - this promises to be a challenging and tricky layout, one that all golfers should experience.
